Post-Publication Discussion Policy
Eksergi: Jurnal Teknik Energi encourages constructive scholarly discussion of articles after publication. This policy explains how readers may raise comments, questions, or concerns about a published article, and how the Editorial Team handles them. It follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. What may be submitted
- Comments or critiques on the methods, data, results, or interpretation of a published article.
- Requests for clarification addressed to the authors.
- Reports of errors in data, figures, tables, or references.
- Concerns about research or publication ethics (see Section 4).
2. How to submit
Send an email to jurnal.eksergi@polines.ac.id with the subject line "Post-Publication Comment - [article DOI]". Please include:
- your full name, affiliation, and email address;
- the title and DOI of the article concerned;
- your comment (maximum 1,000 words) with supporting evidence or references;
- a statement of any competing interests.
Anonymous submissions are not considered. Comments must be factual, civil, and free of personal attacks or defamatory statements.
3. How comments are handled
1) The Editorial Team acknowledges receipt within 7 working days.
2) The Editor in Chief or an Associate Editor screens the comment for relevance, evidence, and tone.
3) The corresponding author of the original article is invited to respond within 30 days.
4) The Editor in Chief decides on the outcome and may consult an independent reviewer. The commenter and the authors are informed of the decision.
5) Accepted comments, together with the authors' response, may be published as a Letter to the Editor and linked to the original article page.
4. Errors and misconduct
Published articles are not altered without notice. If a discussion reveals an error or a breach of publication ethics, the Editorial Team will take appropriate action, which may include a correction (erratum/corrigendum), an expression of concern, or a retraction, in accordance with our Article Retraction & Withdrawal policy (https://jurnal.polines.ac.id/index.php/eksergi/arw) and Publication Ethics policy (https://jurnal.polines.ac.id/index.php/eksergi/pe). Allegations of research or publication misconduct are handled confidentially until a decision is reached.
5. Discussion on other platforms
The Editorial Team may take into account concerns raised on external platforms (for example PubPeer or other scholarly forums). For formal consideration, please also submit your concern by email as described in Section 2.
