PENGURANGAN KADAR GAS BUANG CO PADA SEPEDA MOTOR 4 LANGKAH (FOUR STROKE) DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PENGAPIAN PERCIKAN ELEKTRIK

Sepeda motor 4 langkah termasuk salah satu pencemar udara di kota besar yang menghasilkan gas-gas yang beracun (toxic) diantaranya gas CO. Dengan penambahan sistem pengapian mampu mereduksi gas CO dengan hasil yang sangat signifikan yaitu dari 6,49 % volume menjadi 2,53 % volume. Gas CO ini terionisasi sehingga terpecah menjadi C* dan O* yang bersifat radikal bebas. Sifat radikal bebas ini akan memberikan kemampuan ion-ion untuk terus bereaksi dengan ion yang lain dan terbentuk senyawa baru.Kata kunci : ”Pereduksian, CO, Pengapian”
