PENGARUH PERUBAHAN BEBAN TERHADAP UNJUK KERJA REHEATER BABCOCK & WILCOX CAROLINA RADIANT BOILER PLTU TANJUNG JATI B UNIT 1

“Reheater merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam PLTU yang berfungsi untuk memanaskan kembali uap keluaran HP Turbine sebelum menuju IP Turbine dengan memanfaatkan panas gas buang. Unjuk kerja reheater perlu dicari untuk mengetahui karakteristik kerjanya terhadap perubahan beban yang fluktuatif agar dapat mempertahankan kontinyuitas kerja PLTU. Penulisan artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh perubahan beban terhadap unjuk kerja reheater Babcock & Wilcox Carolina Radiant Boiler PLTU Tanjung Jati B Unit 1. Data yang diambil merupakan data harian pada bulan Maret 2015 dan pengambilan data dilakukan dengan mengunduh melalui software Top-i solvo secara online dari Central Control Room (CCR) PLTU Tanjung Jati B Unit 1, kemudian pengolahan data menggunakan metode Log Mean Temperature Different (LMTD) dan Effectiveness - NTU. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa Effectiveness tertinggi didapatkan sebesar 77.6 % ketika laju perpindahan panasnya 238.2 MW pada pembebanan 617.8 MW. Effectiveness meningkat seiring meningkatnya pembebanan disebabkan karena laju perpindahan panas juga meningkat. ”
