Abstract

Kompetensi profesional sangat diperlukan dalam melaksanakan suatu pekerjaan profesi. Hal itu akan
membantu para profesional dalam melaksanakan perkerjaan, sehingga menghasilkan hasil kerja menjadi
optimal. Karena ciri profesionalisme   menghendaki sifat mengejar kesempurnaan hasil, memerlukan
kesungguhan dan ketelitian kerja, memerlukan integritas tinggi, adanya kebulatan fikiran dan perbuatan.
Komponen-komponen yang sangat diperlukan dalam menjalankan kompetensi profesional, antara lain
kompetensi individu yang meliputi inisiatif, dipercaya, motivasi, dan kreatif; kompetensi sosial yang meliputi
berkomunikasi, kerja kelompok dan kerjasama; kompetensi metodik yang meliputi mengumpulkan dan
menganalisa informasi, mengevaluasi informasi, orientasi tujuan kerja, dan bekerja secara sistematis;
kompetensi spesialis yang meliputi keterampilan dan pengetahuan, menggunakan perkakas dan peralatan
dengan sempurna, mengorganisasikan dan menangani masalah.
