RANCANG BANGUN APLIKASI PLC OMRON CPM2A SEBAGAI PENGENDALI OTOMATIS SIRINE UNTUK JADWAL PERKULIAHAN DI POLINES

Abstract

Sirine Polines masih menggunakan mikrokontroler yang memiliki kelemahan dalam melakukan perubahan atau modifikasi program maupun dalam hal kecepatan proses untuk mendukung disiplin waktu dalam proses belajar mengajar, dan juga untuk keperluan dalam ujian masuk mahasiswa baru yang masih dilakukan oleh petugas dengan menekan tombol secara manual, sehingga ketepatan waktunya kurang andal. Kekurangan mikrokontroler dalam mengendalikan sirine tersebut dapat diatasi dan digantikan oleh Programmmable Logic Controller (PLC) Omron CPM2A dengan program aplikasi yang lebih sederhana dan lebih cepat serta lebih mudah dalam modifikasi dengan bantuan perangkat lunak CX Programmer. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu sirine Polines dapat berbunyi secara otomatis sesuai dengan jadwal waktu yang telah ditetapkan untuk mendukung disiplin waktu dalam proses belajar mengajar maupun untuk keperluan ujian masuk mahasiswa baru.
