UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS DESCRIPTIVE TEXT MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PORTOFOLIO PADA SISWA KELAS VII A SEMESTER 2 SMP NEGERI 1 KARANGAWEN TAHUN AJARAN 2015/2016

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan apakah pembelajaran model portofolio dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis Descriptive Text siswa dan lebih baik dibandingkan dengan model konvensional. Penelitian ini diadakan pada siswa SMP Negeri 1 Karangawen kelas VII A Semester 2 tahun ajaran 2015/2016, waktu penelitian berlangsung selama 3 bulan dengan 2 siklus. Tiap siklus dilakukan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Terdapat peningkatan kemampuan menulis pada siklus I sekitar 63 % dan pada siklus II mencapai 78 %. Hal ini juga terlihat pada Ulangan Harian siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan pembelajaran portofolio hasilnya lebih baik dan presentasi ketuntasan belajar pun lebih tinggi dari pada sebelumnya.
