Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT) has revolutionized our world into a smarter place, it emerged as a concept 20 years ago and is now a reality throughout the world. This new technology connects billions of smart devices equipped with sensors, software and other technologies with other devices and systems via the internet. Most of these smart devices are not only in homes but also in factories, hospitals, schools etc.[1]. One of the technologies that supports IoT development is wireless technology, namely Long Range radio (LORA). Therefore, LORA technology is important to study in the Microcontroller course in the Electronics Study Program. To support the learning of LORA technology, this research designed a wireless data communication practicum tool based on the LORA SX1278. This LORA technology practicum device can be used to practice text-based data communication between LORAs and data communication from temperature sensors to microcontroller systems wirelessly with LORA technology. From the results of this research, a LORA-based wireless data communication practicum device can be created at a relatively cheap price compared to imported practicum devices made abroad.
