RANCANG BANGUN SISTEM MONITORING DAN CONTROLLING KANDANG AYAM BERBASIS INTERNET OF THINGS MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI ANDROID

Abstract


Menurut data Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS), jumlah ayam yang dihasilkan pada tahun 2021 dari peternakan ayam petelur maupun ras pedaging mengalami kenaikan daripada tahun sebelumnya.  Salah satu indikator perawatan dalam peternakan ayam yaitu temperatur yang sesuai, pemberian pakan dengan porsinya yang tepat, sirkulasi udara, dan sanitasi yang teratur dalam kandang, yang mana saat ini peternak harus mengecek secara manual dengan datang dan mengamati langsung ke area peternakan.

Sistem ini dapat memantau suhu atau temperatur, mendeteksi kelembaban yang ada pada kandang ayam, memberikan pakan dan minum di waktu serta porsi yang tepat secara otomatis, mengatur sirkulasi udara, mengatur jadwal sanitasi di dalam kandang untuk menjaga kebersihan lingkungan kandang, mendektesi gas amonia di dalam kandang, dan mengontrol penerangan di dalam kandang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat rancang bangun sistem monitoring dan controlling kandang ayam guna meningkatkan kualitas ayam ternak dan memudahkan peternak dalam mengawasi serta mengkontrol ayam ternak menggunakan smartphone Android.

Metode yang digunakan dalam pembuatan sistem ini metode Prototype. Hasil dari sepuluh kali percobaan terdapat kegagalan satu kali dalam percobaan ke 8. Hasil dari pembuatan sistem ini menunjukan bahwa sistem bisa digunakan untuk memantau atau memonitoring keadaan kandang seperti suhu dan kelembaban, ketersediaan pakan dan juga minum, lalu tingkat amonia dalam kandang. Selain melakukan pemantauan, sistem ini juga dapat melakukan controlling jarak jauh seperti kipas, lampu, servo, dan pompa air.

According to data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the number of chickens produced in 2021 from laying hens and broiler farms has increased compared to the previous year.. One indicator of care in chicken farming is the appropriate temperature, feeding the right portion, air circulation, and regular sanitation in the cage, which at this time farmers have to check manually by coming and observing directly to the farm area.

This system can monitor temperature or temperature, detect humidity in the chicken coop, provide feed and water at the right time and portion automatically, regulate air circulation, set a sanitation schedule in the cage to keep the cage environment clean, detect ammonia gas in the cage. cage, and control the lighting in the cage. This study aims to design a monitoring and controlling system for chicken farms in order to improve the quality of farm chickens and make it easier for farmers to monitor and control farm chickens using an Android smartphone.

The method used in the manufacture of this system is the Prototype method. The results of ten trials there were failure times in the 8th experiment. The results of three trials showed that the system could be used to integrate or monitor the state of the cage such as temperature and humidity, the availability of feed and water, and the level of ammonia in the cage. In addition to monitoring, this system can also perform remote controls such as fans, lights, servos, and water pumps.
