PERAN BARU PUSTAKAWAN DI ERA MEA

Abstract

Peran baru pustakawan di era masyarakat ekonomi Asean (MEA) memberikan dampak kepada para pustakawan untuk berbenah diri dengan meningkatkan kompetensi diri baik dalam meningkatkan kemampuan diri, kemampuan sosial, intelektual dan bidang IT merka untuk dapat bersaing dan sejajar dengan pustakawan dari luar. Adanya persaingan tersebut diperlukan untuk menjadi pustakawan yang smart dalam berinovasi untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri mereka. Strategi yang perlu dilakukan oleh para pustakawan adalah salah satunya dengan memiliki standar kompetensi yang telah ditetapkan oleh Special Libraries Association (SLA) yaitu pustakawan perlu memiliki kompetensi profesional, kompetensi pribadi dan kompetensi Inti atau umum.
