Abstract

Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) melalui bukunya yang berjudul “Child Development and Motorcycle Safety (2015)” merekomendasikan kursi bonceng untuk sepeda motor yang aman sesuai tahap pertumbuhan anak. Dalam hal regulasi, Indonesia belum memiliki standar mengenai kursi bonceng anak yang aman sesuai rekomendasi WHO dan standar terkait. Sedangkan, penggunaan sepeda motor sebagai sarana transportasi bersama anak semakin umum di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kekuatan rancangan kursi bonceng anak untuk sepeda motor matic Honda Beat series dengan mengacu pada standar EN14344:2004 tentang “Child seats for cycles-safety requirements and test methods”. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisis kekuatan adalah FEM (Finite Element Analysis). Analisis kekuatan dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) pada Solidworks 2022, dengan hasil bahwa rancangan mampu menahan gaya sesuai dengan parameter keamanan yang ditentukan dalam standar EN14344:2004. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa rancangan kursi bonceng memiliki kekuatan dan stabilitas yang memadai untuk memastikan keselamatan anak selama berkendara.
