PENGEMBANGAN MOTIF BATIK DAN DIVERSIFIKASI PRODUK KAIN BATIK PADA UMKM ASAL BATIK DI KELURAHAN METESEH KOTA SEMARANG

Abstract


The Covid-19 pandemic has weakened the economy and people's purchasing power, many MSMEs have experienced the impact of this pandemic in the form of a significant decline in sales. The Asal Batik as an UMKM that produces batik tulis and batik cipratan is one of the Batik SMEs that has experienced this impact. Asal Batik produces batik based on orders during the pandemic, so that the capital turnover is fast. During the Covid-19 pandemic, new opportunities emerged in the form of demand for batik cap, which were more affordable for customers, but could not be fulfilled. The unfulfillment of customer demand for batik cap is due to the SMEs of Batik originating from Batik not having the equipment used to produce stamped batik. The equipment needed includes: a batik stamp canting tool, a frying pan, and a batik cap table. The output of this service activity is the availability of batik cap making equipment in the form of portable batik cap tables and copper batik cap pans, motif enrichment and product diversification other than batik tulis and batik cipratan.
