Fenomena Bahasa di Lapangan: Sebuah Kajian Kualitatif

Abstract

This qualitative study aims at knowing the language phenomena as we can see in the field (real life contexts), either in the form of spoken or written language. The purposes of this qualititative approach are to express language problems as a form of development, and it can be as a material to construct linguistic theories especially sociolinguistics. As we can see language develops together with the development of the society. The society uses language as a means of interacion in daily communication. The develop-ment of science and technology influences the behaviour of the society as well as speech acts or language acts. Based on the research data, it was found that there were many new words derived from regional or foreign languages that were used based on communication needs. The heterogeneous society also gives contribution to the emerging of new forms, word variations, or the transfer of semantic field in certain sentences. The change of language elements as a means of communication either in spoken or written form make language phenomena in the field emerge.
