Abstract

Before being used as a medium for growing mushrooms, the planting medium must first go through a sterilization process. This process is very important to do to avoid contamination or the growth of unwanted wild mushrooms. Sterilization aims to prevent the growth of all living bodies in the baglog (which are carried with the raw materials) which can interfere with the growth of the fungus that is planted. Baglog sterilization is carried out using high pressure hot water steam, namely at a water temperature of around ± 100 ̊C. With this problem, a tool is needed in the form of a temperature monitoring system and time monitoring in the mushroom sterilization process using the concept of the Internet of Things with an ESP32 microcontroller and based on android. Based on this system, baglog producers and mushroom farmers can more easily monitor temperature and time monitoring during the mushroom baglog sterilization process, thereby reducing the percentage of crop failure. In making this system using a MAX6675 thermocouple temperature sensor and the concept of the Internet of Things with the aim that baglog producers and farmers can monitor the mushroom baglog sterilization process at any time even though they are far from the sterilization site for mushroom planting media.
