Abstract


Koi fish is one of the fishery commodities that has great economic potential to be cultivated in Nyatnyono Village, West Ungaran District, Semarang Regency, Central Java. One of the obstacles that greatly affect the increase in fishery production is a disease that can cause mass death in koi fish. One of the causes of disease in koi fish is poor water quality in koi fish ponds. Characteristics of water quality that are very influential on koi fish include the level of water clarity, acidity (pH), temperature, and ammonia levels. Fish cultivators must check by measuring the level of water clarity, acidity (pH), temperature, and ammonia levels manually one by one, just like koi cultivators in West Ungaran District. This affects the time and work efficiency of koi fish farmers. Therefore we need a tool that can help monitor water quality in real time. With the background of the above problems, a new idea emerged, namely the Application of Technology for Making Water Quality Monitoring Systems (Clarity Test, Ph, Temperature, and Ammonia Levels) based on IoT that can monitor water quality in koi fish ponds automatically and can be seen through the application Blynk on Android phones. Furthermore, with water quality that is always monitored well, it is hoped that the quality of koi fish will increase significantly so that it can increase the selling value of koi fish.
