Pengaruh Iklim Komunikasi Organisasi dan Gaya Kepemimpinan terhadap Kinerja Pegawai BPBD Semarang

Abstract


This study aims to determine the effect of organizational communication climate to employee performance and influence of leadership style on employee performance BPBDs Semarang. This type of research is explanatory research, while the sampling technique used is saturated samples (total sampling), in which all members of the research sample population numbering 56 people. In this study, there are three variables: organizational communication climate variables (X1), leadership style variable (X2), and employee performance variable (Y). Testing the validity and reliability of the instrument using the item selection criteria is based on the total item correlation coefficient (corrected item-total correlation) were processed using SPSS for Window version 16.0. While the coefficient of reliability of the instrument was tested and calculated using Cronbach Alpha formula. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. Once the data is collected, then analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The findings obtained from this research are: 1) organizational communication climate positively affects employee performance, demonstrated by t-test value of 2.217 is greater than the value of 1,673 t-table with a significance level of 0.031 <0.05, and 2) the leadership styles no significant positive effect on employee performance, demonstrated by t-test value of a109 with a significance level of 0.913> 0.05. The results showed that in order to improve the performance of employees would be more appropriate through enhanced organizational communication climate.
