KECANDUAN GAME ONLINE KALANGAN MAHASISWA DAN KAITANNYA DENGAN STRES KEUANGAN

Abstract

Game online semakin populer di Indonesia, dengan pencapaian di tingkat dunia, tetapi juga menimbulkan kekhawatiran akan kecanduan yang berdampak negatif pada kesehatan mental, hubungan sosial, dan prestasi akademik. Kecanduan ini juga dikaitkan dengan masalah finansial, seperti pengeluaran impulsif dan kesulitan mengelola keuangan, terutama di kalangan remaja dan dewasa muda. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Politeknik Negeri Semarang (Polines) bertujuan untuk memahami keterkaitan antara kecanduan game online dan stres keuangan sebagai langkah menuju generasi muda yang lebih cerdas secara finansial. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara acak dan snowball. Pengujian data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas, validitas, reliabilitas data. Sedangkan analisis data yang dipakai adalah analisis deskriptif dan regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kecanduan game online di kalangan mahasiswa Polines secara umum berada dalam kategori sangat rendah hingga rendah, begitu pula dengan tingkat stres keuangan yang mereka alami. Namun demikian, analisis statistik mengungkapkan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kecanduan game online dan stres keuangan, dengan kontribusi sebesar 3%.
