Abstract


UKM CV Rahman Sabitra in Surakarta produces Animal Feed Supplements, especially Layer Chicken. The
marketing areas are Wates, Blitar, Polokarto and Kendal. The packaging is still manual, resulting in products that
cannot be standardized (not uniform in size, easily damaged), resulting in many returns and cannot meet the
target demand.The solution offered is by providing packaging machine specifications that are in accordance with
the products produced by taking into account the meaning, purpose and benefits of packaging for the product,
minimizing losses. Beginning with an interview to explore the problems faced & expectations of Partners,
continued by transferring knowledge about good packaging and meeting packaging standards to employees.
Then survey the types of continuous packaging machines to choose alternatives and determine the type of science
and technology that is in accordance with product specifications and available funds. Packaging machine
operation training and packaging trial for employees. The post-handover evaluation of the machine concluded
that science and technology was very helpful.With the existence of science and technology/continuous packaging
machines, Partner's performance will increase. The quality of product packaging can meet the standard, more
efficient & effective, less packaging is damaged, so that the quality of service to customers increases. The
existence of a continuous packaging machine can solve the problems faced by Partners, namely improving
packaging quality, doubling productivity, fulfilling product packaging standards resulting in reduced product
returns due to damaged packaging, which in turn can minimize losses.
