PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI PENGELASAN CETAKAN ANEKA MOTIF PAVING UNTUK PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MERTOYUDAN KABUPATEN MAGELANG

Abstract

The construction of village roads, house place and parking place requires hard surface with cast concrete or asphalt or paving blocks. Paving blocks have the advantage of having higher water absorption compared to cast concrete or asphalt. The problem with the community is that they want paving blocks at low costs, with more varied motifs. The purpose of this community service activity is to empower the community by applying welding technology to make various paving block molds from steel plate materials, and testing them for making various paving motifs. The implementation method begins with the socialization of the community service program, purchasing raw materials, making paving block molds, applying paving block molds, and continuing community service programs. The results of the activity are 3 paving block molds of 500x500 (mm) made of 5x60 (mm) steel plate, improving electric welding skills. The application of paving block moldings in the courtyard of the Nafisatul Iman mosque is about 200 (m2).
