KAJIAN EKSPERIMEN TURBIN TURGO DENGAN PERUBAHAN DIAMETER RUNNER UNTUK PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA PIKOHIDRO
Abstract
This study aims to create and test the performance of Turgo Turbines for Pico Hydro
Power Generation Systems with variations in runner diameter, so that the size of the runner
diameter provides the best performance. The Turgo turbine runner used in this study has
the following dimensions: inlet blade angle , outlet blade angle , number
of blade (Z) 20 pieces, runner diameter (D) made vary from 165mm, 175 mm and 185 mm.
The parameters measured in the test are flow discharge, pressure on the nozzle, turbine
shaft rotation and torque, as well as voltage and electric current output from the generator.
The parameters that are determined and are the variables in this study are runner diameter
(D). The load on the generator is varied and every load variation is recorded on the
parameters above. The test was carried out at a constant head of 20 m with a discharge 80
l / min, runner diameter 165 mm, 175 mm, and 185 mm. The test results for each diameter
produced the best conditions for 185 mm dish diameter, namely system efficiency (ηs) of
45,71%, 771,48 rpm rotation, Generator power (Pg) of 115,49 watts at 769,73 rpm
rotation.
